Getting ready to overhaul an R380 and was wondering if anyone has experience with the following. I have a J suffix R380 out of a NAS '95 Disco, so V8 application. It needs some 2nd gear work, some brainiak ran it with 90wt. I was thinking of getting a TDI input shaft and using it behind my TDI. My current R380 needs a second gear syncro at minimum. The gas R380 has a slightly better 5th gear ratio. The big advantage is I can bench it and not pull the Rover down until I am ready to change the trans.
