R380 LHD seat box

Putting feelers out there to see what a take-off R380 seat box would cost. When we did my truck rebuild, we modified my existing LT77 seatbox to fit the R380 but it's a total hack-job and leaks air terribly, making it very cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I'd like to re-do this properly with the proper seatbox. I have the proper driver's side floor panel, just need the seat box.

If it's an ex-MOD take-off with original paint, even better.

I bought all the parts from YRM.

I have the LT77 so I just need to reuse my current transmission cutout unless someone knows how to get a new one.

You really cant. The r380 cutout is rounded and larger than the angular seat box flange of lt77

This is what I did and it's holding up good. I'm surprised at the price if the RN seat box. Is that the entire part Inc battery and tool box? If so I can see going that route.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but quick question since Doug would know. I have an LT95 seatbox in a RHD 110. I'm changing to an R380. Will I need to buy a new seatbox or can I squeeze it in there?

When I went from LHD LT85 to R380 I kept the same box, but I put a new arch in over the transmission. It was a pre-made, bolt-on arch that fits the R380 tunnel cover. I traced the outline of it, then cut away the excess seat box and then riveted and bolted the new arch in place.

Chris, i agree the rovers north looks like a good buy and you get a new battery box with it. I am sure Zack will take care of you.

where did you get that part ? I have been searching. I need multiple.
The SBCK100 kit below used to be about $50 a couple years ago.

I got it from Doug Shipman here in Portland. He had several made for himself and clients. I'm sure I paid more than $50, but he also only had five or six made, so the price was dependent on it being a limited run.

I could ask about it, I've been meaning to stop by lately anyway.

Man, that's depressing. That kit is perfect.

My original seatbox is just fucked from being cut up and modded. I wish I had known about that kit. I will probably just get the RN box unless someone can find me an ex-MOD R380 take-off.

Chris: Go with the RN or SHP box. So much better that it comes out right. Guess I got lucky with my mods.
