Overdrive for Defender

I am looking for an overdrive---pm me if you have one or know of someone that does that may be willing to part with one. I am going to change my transfer case in the near future to a 1.4 box and would like it for the longer road trips to preserve a reduction in noise/rpm. Thanks

Give Ray Wood a shout at Global Roamerdrive in Vancouver, the price is $1500 for a 1.4 OD. I think that is a decent price, maybe not??? (i just bought one for my 110). Excellent service and advice.

I would only recommend putting the coin into it if you are driving a lot. More than 15K miles a year would be worth it. If you just want it for the couple of trips each season to a trail then I would just drive slower.

What's the reason for switching to a 1.4? It looks like you value the benefits of a taller ratio.

I live in Colorado, have a lot of mountain passes and hills at altitude. I am planning a TD5 swap (with VNT Turbo, Allisport Intercooler, and associated tune) and am running stock gear ratio. Seems to make sense to go to the 1.4. I am always open to suggestions on this--I will be towing a ~2000lb off road pop up trailer that I built also on 33's. Here is the set up. And for you TD5 folks, any of you think there will be an issue towing with this engine (or power)? any other mods you would suggest? I would love the extended range of the diesel...
