Has anyone seen, in person, the new "Defeater" mat set from Exmoor? If so, wondering how it compares to the older/Wright Off-road version:

I just noticed that on their site the other day and notified purchasing to order a set in. Looks interesting

Close to the very excellent Wright matting, new extrusion molds were needed and they refined the style a bit at the same time.

Also now made of polyurethane which should make it very durable. However, based on that I'd guess the noise dampening qualities are less effective. Too bad they don't have an LT77 set, but with the massive cost of injection molds it's understandable.

It's cheaper than the current Wright set that Exmoor sells, I wonder why...
Likely because Exmoor just buys them from Wright who has them manufactured, vs this unit they're working with a manufacturer directly

Various parts of my interior keep getting removed/falling off. Door panels, the original floor mats (water trapping rust creators), the little piece on the firewall, the footwell uppers, the hardura on the seat box (I miss this piece although they get nasty when they get old and smell when wet).

I was hoping to get cocomats like I have in everything else, but I am not sure they would fit over the tunnel.

I like the wright mat I have but no matter how much seal replacing I do, I cannot for the life of me stop water from collecting under the mat in the footwells. I actually made a cut so I can pull them out occasionally and let the footwells dry out. Super annoying but still worth having the mat in.

Any idea why the Defeater mat won't work with a V8?

I was actually thinking about cutting mine aswell. I've been proping up the mat to try n get air in there. Not happy about it

Haven’t heard Cocomats for a long time. Used them in the 70’s.
This is who I buy from:

Family business, great service, super nice people, fair pricing, made in USA. Both Porsches and the LWB have cocomats (one Porsche has sisal).

One of those businesses that I am happy to support because they are so good (no affiliation). They do run 10-15% off deals on occasion.

Thanks! Appreciate the info. They are a unique look / product. Same with Sisal.
