The cantrails are the connectors between the B-hoop and the C-hoop you are looking for.

That’s for sure !! Just to set things straight. After looking and waiting many years I finally picked up a D90. I ended up finding or the truck found me. A 1994 NAS POE Defender 90. I am attempting to get it back to original. from what I have found out and correct me is I’m wrong. The POE came with no role bar/cage ? I know I can get a full role cage from RN that is plan B. I am getting a lot of other parts from RN ( they have been Great to work with). The plan is to remove the hard top for the summer months.

Ron if you decide to sell one of the 4 and it in good shape let me know. If not I hope you someday get 4 NAS Defenders to put them on ;)
good luck the the D90 your selling hopefully you get all the money your asking for it..

everyone else thank you for you input and help. Like I said I’m new to this and Humble about it .

Correct, POE trucks did not have a cage.

Are you planning to keep/use the original POE hard top? If so, I don’t think it will fit over the full NAS safari cage.

I believe a NAS b-pillar (as found in the NAS SW) will work with the POE hard top.

I too have a '94 POE truck. Originally, they had the A-hoop bolted directly to the hard top, with no internals. I purchased a complete soft top cage a few years back so I can run a soft top most of the time. I also found a hard top B-hoop and bulkhead bar as both are different on the hard top than the soft top. This allows me to run both tops, but requires a lot of parts. So depending on which top you want to run, you will need to get the correct cage parts for that configuration.

DM me if you have specific questions.

That’s Awesome !!! Thank you. Yes mine has the A-Hoop directly bolting to the hard top.. Im leaning towards the badger coach works top ?
What do you think? NR have that New NAS type padded soft top Role bar/cage. Looks like great minds think alike I want to be able to do the same thing your doing. Are you saying the way you have it set up you can leave the B-hoop and bulkhead bar on and just put hard top over ?

The B & C hoops must be padded for the NAS soft top to fit correctly. The RN set it probably your best bet unless you can find a good set of originals. They are getting rare and pricey for good ones (good foam). Badger tops are excellent, but the waiting time may be extensive. I have a tan RN top and it looks and fits great.

You cannot use the soft top with the hard top B-hoop, nor the reverse. Even the bulkhead bars are different. If you are going to use the original hard top, and want more rollover protection than a tin roof (like when you bought it), you need the hard top B-hoop, the bulkhead bar, and a bunch of brackets.

If you want to easily change between hard and soft top, set it up for a soft top, and find a factory fiberglass hard top. They fit over the soft top cage and minimize the amount of work required to switch back and forth.

Welcome to the world of Land Rover.
