Michelin XZL 8.25s - How did they work out?

Last summer there was a thread with several here ordering them.

It seemed the consensus then was that you needed to make several mods to run them without issue.

Did anyone get them mounted and drive around much? My XZL 7.50s seem a bit small for an NAS 90 with the LR HD springs. I've always wanted a slightly larger tire, but something that still looks like a Land Rover. Would enjoy hearing some real experiences and/or seeing pics with them mounted. TIA.

No mods are needed - they work well. Heavy package when mounted to a NATO wheel.

with a 50mm suspension lift they clear very nicely (HD spring set)

I've put close to 12,000 off-road miles (and another 3K road miles) since I mounted them. Mine have crossed Nevada on dirt twice, Utah on dirt twice, and have done the road drive out to Colorado from Kansas. They're phenomenal tires and I wouldn't run anything else. No fit issues but I'm running OME 755s and 766s--the ideal spring combo for a moderately loaded 110 in the desert.

Wish they weren't so hard to find. I've had great service with 7.50s. Easy tire to live with, and the narrow width is easy on the truck.

So they'd fit ok with the HD springs? Eyeing the clearance it would seem to be fine. Any rubbing the frame near steering lock?

Running them on my nas 90 with no issues with theee inch lift. Swapping them over to the 110 soon. Great tires. Heavy. Phenomenal off-road. A compromise on road secondary to weight versus an all terrain. Measure a true 34 and took very little weight to balance. Unreal for a tire of this size.
