Madman + VDO + Cooling Pack

working on my '97 130 w/ a 300tdi and AC (no condenser fan). About to decide on what i'm doing for a cooling upgrade, as I am considering the upgraded setup from RN, w/ the stock+ allisport IC. Either way, I have VDO gauges and will be adding in an EMS3, just looking for some help collecting the sensors that I need and what I need to do to split some with the VDO. On top of the cooling, I am likely installing my revotec fan, so I need to put the sensor in for that as well (use thermostat housing cap sensor?). I have a "OEM" rad with 1/8npt sensor port, but unsure if II want to build my own, or just buy the complete setup from Zack. My SA radiator has been repaired and I think my IC has a small pinhole leak...Thanks in Advance.

What I have
VDO Fuel - done
VDO Water Temp - done (stock location, new sensor)
VDO Oil Pressure - not done (maybe put Madman here in binnacle, and do all oil from madman rather than actual gauge?)

What I want with Madman
Boost - use madman kit I have
EGT - what probe length do I need?
Low Coolant alarm - Use the rad fill cap sensor from madman?
Low Oil alarm -
Tach - W wire

What sensors I have from madman
Boost (MPS2), w/ hoses
??? MPS5, no clue what this 5 bar was for
TP60 K probe - will a 60mm probe fit the 300tdi?

Anyone ever try this threaded into the manifold for boost? (remote sensor)

Anyone have a part number or link to the EGT probe they used on a 300?

Madman uses a 100mm, which i assumed needed bent to not hit the inner manifold...?

I had picked up the sensor kit for the 300tdi. (EGT probe included)

You can use the madman to trigger a relay to hit your fans for the radiator. I used the coolant level cap for the alarm(works well)
For boost I used a T off the plastic pipe that goes to the injector pump for pressure.

The Madman sensor kit....With the tapped cover and probe?
RRC Coolant cap? PRC7925

do you think this 60mm probe will fit well enough into the manifold for correct reading? Otherwise I need to get a 100mm as instructed. I see the other threads but all show you have to bend a 4" probe.

Unfortunately I don't remember. It should tho cause you have to do the bend to make it fit the manifold shape.

I remember it was important that the colors match the diagram for the 2 wires in the EGT probe. It wasn't a simple resistor like I had thought. It was all thrown off till I fixed it.

Are you planning on running the EGR? Or are you using the EGR blockoff plate? I think the shorter one would be more than sufficient - I can't recall which one I had.

no EGR. I should have reached out to Madman first, but I bought the 100mm probe and cover plate, which is no biggie. The 60mm will work for 200 or 300tdi, and I have another madman for future or possible trade/sale...

I am going to get this straight adapter to thread right into the manifold for boost (removing plug thats there now). Just a cleaner setup for me and I like to be difficult. 6mm push in tubing will connect to brass sensor T.

it's m12 x 1.5, so lots of options.

McMaster options.
