Looking for an LT95

Looking for an LT95 gearbox in good condition, hopefully in the PNW. I've got a 1985 110 V8 and my LT95 is starting to show signs of imminent failure - started popping out of high gear, shifter has started moving fore/aft while in 3rd gear on/off throttle, etc - due for a rebuild soon. Years ago I'd see them pop up for sale often when a lot of early trucks were coming stateside as owners replaced the LT95 for R380/LT230. Now that later trucks are coming over, there's less of these posted on the forums, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are several collecting dust. I've never rebuilt a gearbox before, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Would be nice to have a known gearbox to swap in while I rebuild the original.

  • FYI: if you choose to have your's rebuilt by a shop, Rob D in ABQ has experience rebuilding an LT95.
  • Do you now Gus Braden in Bend? He had one a few years ago that came out of my 110, when I replaced it with a Rob D rebuilt LT95A.
  • I haven an LT95A behind a 4BD1T and it is alright, but if I had to do it again I would go the R380/LT230 route with all of the upgrades.
