I've given away Land Rover parts in exchange for a donation to a food shelf... since we are invading a community in central New York, it seems a good time and a good idea to give back to those who won't benefit from the influx to the local business community. I wish I had thought of this earlier, but am thinking that it wouldn't be too much of a put-out to cordon off an area for giving away perfectly usable and "good" condition parts that are either too heavy or too awkward in shape to post "for sale." I have a perfectly good factory bumper and pair of three-point seatbelts, among other Defender items...
If left on the ground and taken, there could be a secure jar for collecting cash donations. If no one wants what I have to offer, it's on the honor system for me to come by on Sunday and take away. Carry in; carry out, if you will. If it raises $10, $100, or $1,000, it seems worthwhile.
