Indicator flasher problem

Noticed today that my left turn signal is misbehaving.

When I push the turn signal for left turn, all 4 signals flash, like with hazard. I heard flasher relay clicking. No indicator idiot light flashing on dash. Switch to right turn, only right signals, flasher relays clicks normally, idiot light flashes.
I have a carling hazard switch that has been installed for several months with no issue. Hazard switch works, all 4 flash as normal.

Led bulbs all around with led flasher relay.

Any ideas where to start.
Thanks
Mark

Look at the video on how to fix LED flashing issues.
Couldn't find the link, but it's basically installing a load resistor.

Even if it worked previously, you think it might be the left side load resistor? I didn't know they failed, but I will take swing at it.

Thx

You need a load resistor. For whatever reason you didn't need one before but you do now. $7 or so on Amazon.

Here is what I used. Again I only used them in the front and be aware that they get hot so you don't want them next to something plastic. Also don't use the crimp splicers that come with them.

why not just buy the correct relay?

Mine came with a new relay that controls the flasher just fine. Adding resistance (power consumption/load) seems like adding flotation to a boat with a hole in the bilge

Just re-read the OP.

Load resistors aren't your problem, I'd say your signals aren't grounded well. My truck has 100% isolated grounds and the LED Relay works like it should. Load resistors don't make sense unless the NAS90 or later versions have a different bulb out indicator that I am blissfully unaware of.

What you are describing sounds like weak chassis grounds

Just dawned on me

Maybe its your stalk switch:

The mechanism isn't exactly robust, perhaps your left indicator is somehow making contact with the right when switched on causing all the lights to light.

Based on the behavior you are describing (Left indicator all lights on, right indicator behaves normally, Carling switch behaves normally, all other lights functioning) it could very well be some kind of mechanical issue with the column switch

On most models with a single dash flasher warning light:
The warming light is hooked to both the left and right side (+) flashing current.
Before LEDs, the (-) ground is drawn through the side that is not flashing.
For example when the right flasher is on, the right (+) flashing current goes to the bulb and the (-) is drawn through the left side of the circuit via the bulb filaments.
Since the LEDs have a much lower power demand, the power demanded to glow the dash warning light will draw current where ever it can to complete a circuit and will sometimes draw current that makes all 4 LED lights flash.
There was a video on this which I watched, but have been unable to locate that explained why installing a resistor on each side of the flashers solved this issue.

I realized why I don't have this issue, my warning light on the dash is a TD5 which separates the 2 warning lights (left/right) on an older 2.5NA-300TDI instrument pack this light is combined, hence the crossover.

My trailer warning light is a separate issue but that video was very helpful
