Importing a NAS Defender back into the US - non-original engine

I couldn't find anything here on the forum so posting up the question. Anyone had any experience importing a NAS truck that is currently out of the country but was originally sold and registered in the US? Looks like proof or prior registration is required by CBP. Here's one small catch though possibly complicating it, it's a NAS D90 but doesn't have the original engine. Not sure if that's an issue with it being originally a US registered truck.

Looking for any immediate experience with it. Uncle Doug, happy to chat offline about it if it looks like it might happen.

If it’s a 97 Defender yes.
If it’s a 94/5 make sure it’s correct engine spec for pre OBD2 and shows 3.9.

Thanks appreciate the comments. Seller only has original book showing dealer stamp of service, no prior registration papers. That has me a bit concerned.

Yes, all still intact (But to confirm, how many stickers are in the engine bay of importance?) and it has the sticker on the driver side footwell area still.
