I am out of the loop, what's a 6x6 Perentie worth?

Just looking for a base price of general decent condition 6x6 value. Never in my wildest dream did I think one would pop up in my town, but some local lot has one, they have no idea what it is and told me to make them an offer. Apparently they received a lot of strange vehicles some guy was stockpiling and just looking to unload them.

Does it run and move? Does it have a US title?
The load bed area is definitely a blank canvas opportunity.

I was told it was running, but I didn't want waste their time too much if they are selling for $65k, like I said I am out of the loop these days. I was super active 7-8 years ago, but have been out of the day to day for a long time now. As a matter of fact it been so long they they where barely even able to bring them in, so I am guessing 1989-90 models were legal when I dropped out.

They also told me it had a valid Texas title or they could get one. I think it was brought in to Arizona originally. It had Texas plates on it when I looked at it.

Personally I don’t think it is worth much at all. A slight premium for the 6x6, but no one wants a RHD military vehicle, especially with a goofy cab. To me, it would just be a hood donor vehicle for some crazy 6x6 build with 37’s and a ls swap

Seems like a pie-in-the-sky number to me. Maybe half that...IF you really need it, AND IF it comes with all the correct import documents.

Oh they didn't tell me a price, I was just saying if they wanted 65k I wouldn't even waste my time or theirs.

Last sold with an asking price of $29k, who knows how much money actually changed hands in the transaction. Very niche market truck, not for everyone, tough resale, but incredibly well built.

I was thinking $25k to $30k tops. You need a vision and lots of Lincoln’s to make anything useful out of all that bed space.

Usually sold with an ambulance box or troop bed. Harder to price just cab and chassis, but would be less. Most have had some tlc since gov release. This one looks on the unloved side of the scale.
For when the 127/130 can't handle the weight/volume of payload.
Prob the best engineered Rover 6x6.

I would say the Isuzu 4bd1 engine is one of the selling points for the Perenties. Would be a shame to LS swap it.

Fully agree with the 37's tho
