Any home brewers in the souther Maine area? I have a nugget hops plant almost ready to harvest. If anyone is interested, they are yours in exchange for some home brew.

I planted some hops this fall in the hops that they provide a nice natural screen barrier between me and the neighbors, specifically their dogs. I know, won't help much, but at least if they produce I can get some hops from them next year. Looking to start brewing this winter as a new hobby.

I hope someone can use yours and you benefit.

Was in the Meuse river valley a couple weeks ago and the hops growing on the East side of the valley stretched on for miles and miles .

You don't brew? If I were in the area, I'd take them.

I think I'll grow some next year. A few people I know have managed to get enough in first year to use for dry hopping a few batches.

I planted them about 7 or 8 yrs ago when I was planning to start brewing.... just never happened but the plant is thriving. It usually grows all the way and over the roof but I used a different rope and the weight made them slide down.

I am looking at a piece of property now to put a hop yard on it -- I think the craft beer phenomenon is here to stay for a while...
