Been a while ... but back again ...

I'm having my super 300tdi built now ... M&D 2.8 big bore kit ... refreshed VE pump, a VNT from Turbo Technics and ported Turner head ... I'm hoping for a slightly more refined drive ... with plenty of torque :)

I saw some ads for fluid dampers ... which supposedly help balance the crank and smooth out the engine?

Anyone any observations or know if this is possible on the 300tdi?

thanks!

Looks like a similar idea to dual-mass flywheels and hydraulic engine mounts. Probably no off the shelf options for a Tdi though. Maybe call that company and see if they can make you a custom one. What are you doing for clutch and transmission?

Observation: a lot of high performance diesel engines, like pulling trucks use fluidampr or similar
for example 6BT style,

Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a Land Rover specific but it’s not going to hurt things if you can find one

The Clutch is Lof power spec for 2.8 TGV spec with an Ashcroft rebuilt transmission ...

I'll give fluidampr call next week and see what they offer

thanks all!
