And this pic is just over 60mph. Accounting for the high tack setting, I could actually be at about 2600.

Certainly reading high. Adjust the throttle cable while idling to get it up to 2000 rpm, and check and adjust the tach.

When holding at 2050 rpm (for some reason, that's just where the pedal wanted to allow me to hold it steady) the main pulley shows about 1850-1900 rpm. Assuming it is as much as, but no more than, 200 rpm high, this means the actual rpm at 60mph is about 2500+. It's difficult to get a good read off the little VDO tach.



I'll adjust the tach when I next feel like self immolation. Otherwise known as pulling the binnacle off and trying to pack all the wiring back in when I'm done.

Don't hold the peddle. Turn the cable adjustment at the pump. Then it will be steady and you can adjust the tach without things bouncing around.

Yeah, I'll do that when I go to actually set the tach. I was just looking to see if the tach was in error.
