Rare as hens teeth lately.

Putting this up as a notice for anyone interested. There is a 1995 Discovery I with an R380, white with tan interior, SD model (cloth seats, no sunroof etc). Owned by a nice lady near me, hers is the twin of mine. I have a contact email for her so you'll need to PM me.

Bought new at LR Walnut Creek in 1995, one of the first if not the first one sold in SF area is what I heard. Maintained by LR in Walnut Creek since, at considerable expense. She is the only owner, and was driving it daily up until a few months back when she got a new car, still has her disco though, it runs and drives. She may end up keeping it but was open to fair offers and said to pass along her info. She and her family love the car.

For anyone not aware, 1995 year is 14CUX, 3.9L V8, not the later 3.9 or 4.0 with the other management systems. I have a 14CUX too and they are nice, simple cars.

>Body is good
>interior is good
>Frame, drivetrain is good
>California car, minimal to no rust
>I don't know the mileage exactly, my guess is 200,xxx
>new starter (genuine fitted at LR Walnut Creek)
>original motor, trans, diffs, etc.

Issues:
>she mentioned last year when we first spoke that the PS reservoir leaked, and she always just topped it off when it dipped low. No clue if that is still present.

Price: not up to me. I picked up a rust-free model, with a worse interior than this one, that needed an alternator and PS pump, new trans etc, for $4000 (for example). I'd hesitate to say start around there, $5000-7000 for a good, running, one-owner truck, with near perfect if not perfect service records. Up to you and the owner. Fair disclaimer, I could be way off the mark re: price.

Voila, this is rare to find one that hasn't already been snatched by the unscrupulous used dealers of the world or the shitbag flippers out there.
