Hi all,

I have 5 LHD 200 TDI bulkheads in route to Atlanta. These bulkheads were originally in LHD Spanish Defenders. They came from trucks being rebuilt in the UK.

I'm selling these as-is at $2200 OBO. I will post pictures below taken before they were placed in the container and will inspect all bulkheads once they arrive.

Scheduled delivery is March 19. The bulkheads will be located just north of Atlanta. I would prefer local pickup so that you can inspect before collection. However, I am happy to pallet and ship through Fastenal for additional cost.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mike

If it's EDP then its basically a primer dip. I used to sell keybody parts and they were all EDP. They are charged like powder, but not the same process. It's not actually the worst finish, as you dont have to fully strip (if you dont want to) before paint and protects panels while in storage or transit pre-sale.

If it truly is powder, I am not sure either. Cris sells decent stuff down there, he may have a better answer.

At $2200, does it include the dash assembly or just the bare bulkhead?

If it's just a bare bulkhead...

Might want to research what new ones can be had for.
These are original, not aftermarket.

A new one at Rovers North

Why would anyone make a powder coated bulkhead?

Easy to mistake for EDP/e-coat. As long as it's not lacquer based, scuffing is all it needs before coating. Use lacquer thinner on a rag to test if it's lacquer based. If it deposits onto rag, remove the EDP before proceeding.

Not really, in my opinion. The EDP that comes on Land Rover panels scratches incredibly easy. The ad says that it is powder coat which is why I asked

After shipping delays, these have arrived. Not sure if a single thread is the easiest to manage this. Let me know if you’re interested.

I will be posting a complete LHD bulkhead with wiring harness. Pictures and pricing on dash + bulkhead to come
