Front Mud Flap Install

I can see that front flaps install with whatever method you want, likely rivnut is the best bet. Curious if there is actual LR guidance on where to install them? Where to drill the holes in the outrigger. Or, if you have done a few do you have a template or something to reference. Thanks.

Fronts are drill and bolt up... Seen UK farm trucks with self tapping screws even.

Rear Factory kit included rivnut and post 93 chassis (some, never ALL of anything Land Rover made is consistent) had a hex shaped hole ready to take the rivnut...

I guess you just line it up where you want it on the front? A bit odd with the large hole in the bottom of the outrigger, I have the sills off trying to fit up sliders so I dont have a gauge on how far out to put it for now....the rear I have the Gwyn Lewis HCPU brackets, which are fantastic.

Yep - there are a few versions of the front bracket each with different mounting spots (slightly) - watch the pocket between the outrigger and bulkhead as well - easy to get buildup in there that will hasten the rot. A bit of pond liner or other thin sheeting will span the gap and keep the crevice mud free.
