Front dome light clearance problem

Safety Devices internal cage is so close to the dome light that I am unable to install the glass & surround ring. I only have 5/8" clearance at most.
Is there a low profile LED alternative? I'd like to use the wire for power & avoid batteries if possible.

The dome light used on more recent Defenders is made of plastic and has a different shape that may work with your roll-cage. There are also LED options available from Mudstuff.co.uk and Nakatenega (Series-Defender-Online).

I'm not as concerned with it matching the indentation, as clearing the cage enough to install.
I've got an extra AMR3155 in my parts amassment if you want to give it a try.
That would be great to test fit it - If it's a winner & is extra, I'll buy it from you. Sent you a message.

You have to put plugs in those holes and mount further back. The nas 110 fiber board actually has holes for that mount where yours is but covered up with upholstery so you would never know.

Mine mounts on the leading edge of the middle board. Check out pics of nas 110 interiors and you will see what I mean.

Could also make a bracket that clamps to the bar and holds the dome light in the proper location.

Thanks for the suggestions. If the LED one isn't shallow enough, I'll keep them in mind.

Finally got around to changing this dome light to the lower profile newer version. AMR3155 dome light from erover82 needed the newer mounting bracket & wire harness. Since I don't have door switches, it's single wired to operate with the selector on the dome light &/or the dash switch. Tight fit at the cage, but I can still get the cover off to change the bulb.
