1993 NAS110 436/500

A very nice, clean NAS110 example. This truck is ready to go and needs nothing for you to start enjoying it. 157k total chassis miles, with 25k miles on brand new drivetrain. All steel parts show exceptionally well. Frame and crossmember are clean and have zero rust or rot. Bulkhead is squeaky clean and rust-free. Doors are solid with no bottom-rot. Prior to me receiving this truck the previous owner had a new International HS2.8L professionally installed with brand new Ashcroft R380 and LT230 1.4 TCase. I've driven a few 2.8s, and this one is dialed in perfectly with no issues. Cruises as 70+MPH and the VNT turbo is a welcome addition. Truck drives straight and stops very well. Previous owner converted the NAS110 HVAC system and installed updated AC.

Truck received a partial disassembly and rebuild by Ship's Mechanical Services in 2006.

Goodies:
New International HS2.8L motor, 25K miles. Extended oil pan
New Ashcroft R380 and LT230
Aluminum radiator and full-width intercooler
OME springs and Bilstein shocks
ARB bumper with Warn 8k winch with synth line and F55 hook
Winch controls remoted to fender and interior
Rolling on BFG MTs 235/85/R16s on Wolf rims
ARB rear air locker, Ashcroft front air locker
TF HD front diff cover, HD D60 rear diff cover
TF front steering skid
Custom tree sliders and rear corner protection
All exterior black work was powdercoated.
Freshly powdercoated SD exo cage
Trakker seat covers with matching arm rest on the Tuffy
Tuffy console houses the locker and secondary winch controls
Rear drawer system with pull out shelves
Window tinting all around
Power windows and power locks
Heated seats
Blaupunkt stereo with CD and Bluetooth
Black 5-bar on the hood and fenders
Mantec snorkle
Cobra CB
Garmin GPS
New headliner
SDO grill and vent covers
Dual batteries, battery isolator, and remote fuse panel for accessories
Heated windscreen
MudUK center dash and pod with VDO guages and carling switches
Seats 5 comfortably with all seat belts operational
All interior trim is intact

Known Issues:
Heater motor is intermittent
Defrost diverter cable not hooked up
Rear reverse light is not hooked up to the tranny

I searched for a while to find a nice NAS110, and this one has the perfect mix of upgraded drivetrain and off road goodies, but retains a lot of the NAS110 charm.

This is a super truck - good luck with the sale. If I wasn't throwing 20k into my 90 I'd be all over USAA for the loan.

I'm truly surprised someone hasn't bought this already.

I am also surprised this hasn't sold yet. It's SUPER great deal IMHO. I wonder if it being in HI is the issue. Maybe list it on Bring a Trailer several NAS trucks have gone over $70K for 90's. I would bet BIG dollars yours would sell for over $90K if you include shipping for the buyer.

Thanks for the kind comments. I think the price is very reasonable for a solid, no-issue, non-basketcase NAS110. So I think the lack of sale is because the truck is in HI and people are concerned about the shipping cost. I recently checked shipping to GA and it was $2k, which isn't too bad, especially if I am covering half that.

I've had one person fly out to see it, but she was concerned about the diesel in CA, and I've got another person seriously interested, so we'll see.

I've been waiting to put it on BaT, but I just submitted it...

Have you gotten many offers at lower than you're willing to take? If so, that's probably a good sign. If not, that probably means the mods are outside people's comfort zone.

Being in Hawaii, maybe potential buyers are thinking that humid island vehicles usually have rust issues.
The pictures show one of the nicest maintained and usable 110's I've seen!

If it were mine, I would strip every mod off that I could and part out the mods separately. I had the same experience with my NAS truck. It was built really well but wouldn't sell until I returned it as close to stock as I could, then it sold easily.

It's a tough pill to swallow for us Defender owners as we think our trucks are worth more with all the mods, but you are right. The buyer looking for this type of truck likely doesn't care about the lockers, snorkel, sliders, etc.

Visually, there isn't much to remove - just the sliders, rear corner protectors, snorkel, and maybe the rear drawer system. I'm hesitant to remove the 5-bar due to the holes.

At the request of Bring A Trailer I removed the seat covers, they think it shows the interior better and I agree.

I remember this truck from the All British Field Meet in Portland. It's a gorgeous truck. Good luck with sale!

Those are some nice seats for sure I think that helps show the real condition of the truck.
I see extras like air tank, fire extinguisher, led light bar, CB, etc... that all could be removed and probably worth more to you than a new buyer.
I would love the drawer system and the sliders and snorkel but I bet the buyer will be a doctor or lawyer like my neighbors who want a Defender but will never really use that stuff.
I had a long conversation last summer with my neighbors about that subject and they wanted the "look" but it had to fit in the garage and in parking garages more than anything.
Again GLWS!
