DSC kicks in with curves

Wondering if I can improve my lr3 hse suspension or is beyond my skill level. The truck has 144 k on it with original air shocks. I have replaced control arms all around and tie rods. The dsc system has been kicking on more and more. The truck raises and lowers as it should. Are the shocks are the issue. It does seem to sit level.
Are the shocks difficult to put on? The air connections ? Gap tool purchase would also be necessary

Usually that happens when the alignment is way off. Basically the steering angle and wheel speeds make the abs control module think you have lost traction in a turn. It also happens when a mechanic takes off the steering wheel and doesn’t put it back in the right spot causing the steering angle to be off.

thanks for the reply, it is true my tires are worn and an alignment is overdue. How does one determine when it is time to do the shocks?

Wonder if someone can say how hard of a job the air shocks would be. I have replaced regular shocks and springs before and managed to get it done. The air connections seem to intimidate me.
Is gap tool needed to re set things?

Is there a decent aftermarket brand that someone recommends or should I plan for genuine.
How hard can it be? You tube video and some patience get a fella through this job ?

There’s nothing to it and you don’t need a gap tool to do it. The air line is just threaded into the top of the strut. The new strut will come with a new fitting, so once you remove the old fitting from the line you just shove it into the new fitting at is already installed on the strut

Thanks for the replies. Are the less expensive air struts a bad idea? I plan on keeping the lr3 especially for winter driving and hope to keep it up?

Another project that I have no experience with is changing belts. At 144 on the odometer I am living on borrowed time. Does one order any new pulleys at this mileage when doing the belts on lr3? I want to have what I need when I try to change he belts so I won’t forget how to put back together ? Thanks for any comments

As for the belts here is a good link to a belt kit and a video illustrating how to replace the belts.

You should check to see if you have the idler pulley that has the raised edges. If not, you should upgrade to that because it will prevent a cold start chirp from the belt
