Door Top Refinishing

In hopes of restoring these NAS door tops that are on my 110, I ordered a Garrison kit to redo the windows. Does anyone have experience refinishing the door top? Faded pretty bad

Wasn't the answer I wanted, but the one I expected haha. Not a lot of reasonable powdercoaters in my area, down south they're cheap and everywhere.

Need me to fix you up a set? I have a memorial plaque at my powder coater...

Do you have access to a paint booth and PPE? If so, prep and hit it with a quality 1K satin urethane. The next best option after powder would probably be black SprayMax. Your common alkyd, acrylic, and MCU won’t hold up to UV well.

I appreciate it, but I think shipping would kill the savings and risk damaging them.

Some very good/durable urethane paint systems out there. Have you tried searching paint shops that do aviation stuff?

I may do that, the problem is once I remove them, the interior will be exposed until I get them back on. Cardboard door tops are in my future...
