Bought the special puller for the rover arms and it has made all the difference. Bitches come right off.

I use it with my Milwaukee 1/2" impact gun and I have removed 4 using it. So far so good but not anywhere as nice or beefy and I am sure mine will break...

You may know this already, but you really shouldn't have to fully tighten the screw on the puller to remove the arm. It is much better to strike the arm or the screw of the puller to break it loose. If you snug it down with an impact and then hit it with hammer it should come right off. This way you won't break your tool.

Take a look at this Land Rover ball joint splitter. The circled portion is meant to be hit with a hammer. The tool is marked to only tighten to 50 newton meters. At 50 newton meters a ball joint will not come loose on a suspension arm, but if you strike it with a hammer it will pop right off. Same principle goes for a pitman arm.
It's a pretty sweet tool, but they are delicate. Most guys in the shop will hit it with an impact an destroy a brand new one on the first use. If you use it as designed, they work great. Next time you try to remove a pitman arm, hit it with a hammer while the puller is installed.

I found it at Lucky 8 (though the site Bonanza, but it was also listed on their site). But 3 weeks and 5 emails afterwards (after it said it shipped!!) I finally got a hold of Collin in parts at Lucky 8 and he said it was all a mistake and they owed me my $50 back. I have to say--the lack of communication and the amount of time that transgressed before I initiated a track down was disappointing.

That's pretty cheap, but Land Rover special tools are usually very poor quality and break easily.
This one looks like a nicer one from Land Rover. I'm guessing this one is actually hydraulic. IIRC, you adjust it to size and then use the T handle at the top to apply hydraulic pressure.
I've got one like that. They are not strong enough. The one Doug showed works on the hard ones.
IME any puller with a hinge on the arms will fail. Puller needs to be rigid.
