Defender rear bumper options

My 2 cents:

I have a NAS90 with factory rear bumper, and a 110 with L8 rear bumper.

The holes for receiver pin are not in same location.

Factor55 recovery thingy fits in NAS, but the pin is too deep in aftermarket L8 (TerraFirma) bumper.

Other than RN's versions, I believe the rest are imported. They didn't go thru the motions to get them rated for towing in the USA, and liability here is a different game than in other countries. If it has a tow ball mount plate or receiver slot, they are meant to tow, and will be used for that.
If one is decorative rather than functional. it'd be obvious from looking at and lifting it.
If the old adage, "Looks right, is right," applies to anything, it applies to trailer hitches.

I wasn't happy with the quality of what's available and didn't want to wait for the RN XD version. I ended up fabricating my own. I used 1.75" DOM tube to match the cage diameter. I also did a wider step and wider lower support bar to add space for some LED flood lights.

Photo below of the rough draft after some finish work. I'll post some pics of it installed later today.

And before you ask, I am not mass producing these. It was a kick in the nuts to make and I'd have to sell them above what RN is getting for theirs to make it worth while.

Curious if you were to make them ... how much above what RN is getting would you have to sell them for?

Asking for a friend of course

Keeping in mind mine are not Chinese garbage, use DOM tube, insane steel prices, and made by a human in about 12 hours each.

Probably in the range of $900 in bare steel. Galvy and/or powder coat would depend on quantity/weight discounts. One-offs would be pretty pricey.

To be clear, the RN ones are UK made and look to be very well made. Just hard to keep up with the demand. That’s the only reason I made my own.

I have an original NAS rear bumper - No rust but some wear from use. I had it installed for a couple years but removed as it didnt fit the 80's Euro look - and they're crazy heavy.
