Aloha all,

We are bringing to the market shortly a new option for phone mounting on the Defender dash. This kit will come with what you see, which is the plate as well as the universal Ram mount. The plate itself is tapped in the universal Ram pattern, so you could add a different style Ram mount if you prefer. This kit will retail for about $149 when said and done, most of that comes from the billet plate/lugs which are made locally here in the Northeast by a Rover enthusiast. With the ram mount, you can also add a magnetic version instead for those who have the magnetic phone cases.

Will fit any 90/110/130 83-2006

Clean and clever design.
Timing is everything, have two of the dash docks coming.

It all happened relatively quickly. I was on the phone with a customer several weeks ago and he brought up the idea of having a mount to replace the ashtray. I agreed that it was a great idea, as I've wanted something like that for a while. I reached out to my "unique parts maker" and it turned out he had already created this with a flat top for a suction cup mount. I had him add the threaded holes to mount the ram mount to, and voila here we are.

It does look slick.
Great to have options, as Zack says. I have a dash dock. On a cross-country drive I used it to mount a mini iPad for navigation, and also a small bluetooth speaker so I could actually hear the iPad. It also gave my passenger a place to stick her phone. It worked great for my purpose, but I do like how clean this looks.

The best ideas are so dang simple that you wonder why nobody had the idea before. Nice job!

I'd install one in mine but it's in storage til spring. There's another 110 here I might be able to pop it in. If by an act of God I have time to leave my desk today, I'll give it a shot

This is way slicker than that crazy "dash dock" contraption. Nice piece.
To each his own, this is a nice option for someone who only needs to mount one device. BTW, thanks for calling my product a "crazy contraption". Real cool of you.

Its kind of his thing. He likes to dunk on small time guys to look cool to the "in" crowd.

What can ya do?

Who you calling a small time guy?!? Just kidding :p! It's too easy to play the heel on line & sometimes impossible to read the intent in text. Give the benefit of doubt & try to realize that someone's opinion or attempt at humor may not have meant to offend. Let's keep this site one that someone would want to post on.

I'm talking to everyone here.

Yeah, the dash dock looks like it belongs in a jeep JK with angry eye headlight trim and bright green underglow lights. Vape cloud pouring out the window.

All right gents, let's all settle down. A board full of type A people and a passion for something can be a recipe for friction. Please lets either encourage innovation or keep our mouths shut. If you wouldn't say it to somebody while alone in the woods with them and they are holding a sharp hatchet, please don't say it.

- Adam is getting mouthy lately. The extreme lockdown of Taxachusetts is taking a toll... :)

^^ BTW, love the yellow powder coated 5-bar... ^^

I'm missing the old Kenwood radio. They are super nerdy early-2000s mobile units but damn, they worked so well and were so easy to use. I think I sold it on D90 or Expo. I still have the 276C GPS and should get it going again. Those were the best units Garmin ever made.
