Great idea, but still best to use jack stands to provide multiple points of support when possible.

This thing seems a little crazy to me--the *center* of the axle on a floor-jack (as opposed to the split weight on both endpoints) is not engineed to withstand the entire rated weight of the jack. Sure, you *hope* that the jack-axle will bear the whole weight, but why potentially bet your life on it?
