Sorry to hear this. They always sponsored my international Rover trips. Richard and crew were always awesome.

World domination plan for RN:
  1. Raise capital
  2. Purchase BM's remains
  3. Bring economy of scale to NA (where many of the world's Defenders are ending up)
  4. Retain their manufacturing contracts
  5. Compete on reduced shipping compared to foreign competition
  6. Be rich and loved by all
  7. Pay my consulting fee

In theory it could actually work, but not worth our time as we're currently looking to drastically increase in house manufacturing. Bearmach was very poorly managed, and made bad decisions in the last decade. They have been bleeding $ for a while, and it likely only got worse when trying to be aggressive in the US market. When they went after the US market, they alienated two of their large accounts here, AB & L8. It was an error in judgement and it's a bummer because they did have some decent manufacturers.

What do you mean inhouse manufacturing? Like RN actually building stuff or contracting to have built?

I am still hoping for a pozidriv screw assortment ….

I’d also buy more “every bolt, nut, washer, and screw” for X kits as the ones you sell are very helpful.

The plan is to be building more things in house. We do a variety of stuff in house already, brake lines, fuel lines, heater kits, fuel tank kits, etc. We want to expand that, we're already starting to do engines in house, skies the limit.

I assume you're also looking to contract manufacture parts that need injection molded, cast, or stamped. Wisconsin Metal Parts could be a strong partner there. Also, I'd consider a fulfillment center along one of the major shipping lanes such as Utah. Expand ProLine into a wider distributor level brand...

I found Bearmach to be a pain to deal with. I would send them a list of part numbers and they would send me half of them and not tell me the others were not in stock. When I want cheap aftermarket garbage I just go to LR Direct. Outside of that, I get Genuine for RN or the local Land Rover dealership

granted they were the Walmart of rover parts, they had some cool stuff. i got a set of mantec branded sliders for a 90 for $200 shipped. A few Exmoor things too that were not in stock and several of their co-branded and one-off parts. I have nothing but good dealings with them, but your needs and mine as customers were quite different. i loved trolling the sale and clearance sections.

Its probably knocked the entire parts supply system on its head and other companies, reliant on Bearmach are facing or will face significant problems in the next few weeks and months.

I spent over £30,000 with them in the last 2 years and up until recently were brilliant. Always advised me honestly about the availability of parts etc or work arounds. I’m gutted they’re gone especially for their great staff.

Very happy to buy from L8, RN etc and wish them well.
