Bulkhead seal Installation Glue, weatherstrip adhesive..?

Fitting new vent seals and using the rubber series style that does not have the self adhesive backing. Whats the consensus on the proper adhesive to use? Looks like some are using a contact cement, but I was planning to use weatherstrip adhesive. What have others used?

Many thanks in advance!

If you want it to not leak, throw those series seals in the trash and get Genuine foam seals. I would recommend 3M spray adhesive on the back of the foam seals because the adhesive the factory uses isn’t great.

cant agree more, tried the rubber and it was a waste of time and a mess. 2 sets of foam and zero issues.

Good to hear. Thats what I'll use too..only reason I had the rubber ones is because there was a sticker on my replacement bulkhead that said the part # for the seals to use. Which was the glue in version..

Thanks!

My series seals on my NAS 90 do not leak YMMV. I used black weatherstrip adhesive. I also pressed them in very tight and left them closed for quite a while before using the vents.
