Battery Light on

I started the truck for the first time since November and started fine no issues. Even turned off fine after running it for 5 minutes or so.

I do not remember the light staying on that long and not going off.

Anything that I should look for?

I was afraid of that. Easy swap I would assume?

I was checking on Rovers North and wasn't sure which one.

The battery was disconnected from the truck for that length of time and stored in the garage. Could it have lost charge?

Checking the connections on the alternator... might get lucky with a loose wire. Battery light should be the little brown one.

While the motor is running put a volt meter on the battery and see what the alternator is putting out. It should be 14v+. If not it's your alternator.

Yes.

You did rev the truck a few times to try to get it turn off right?

Lol. Just read a couple posts about your alternator. Nope just let it idle for 5 minutes in place. I was probably going to do that this weekend anyway.

Got to find my volt meter now. :(

Well I put the foot on the pedal and the light went out. The battery gauge actually started to move it the right direction. Probably ok just goes with owning a 30 year old truck.
