Anyone know of in stock 7.50 x 16 BFG MTs somewhere? Everyone lists them at $225 each shipped but no stock.

Couldn’t find 235/85-16s either. So I bought a set of General Grabbers in that size. They were original equipment on my new puma truck and I actually liked them a lot. And very reasonably priced.

I don’t want XZLs and they are near double the price (with shipping) of the BFGs. I have some XPCs on another set of wheels. They are probably 10 plus years old, but they have not seen sun. I might use them, but the white is the newer white so the wheels don’t match the alpine white of the truck. I will call simple tire tomorrow. Given no one else has stock, I am not optimistic.

I think it's the perfect time to purchase the best tire ever made

Get XZLs, be a man.

Camel advert is priceless, presages Trophy competition. Camel used Series trucks in at least 2 other ads in this series.
Not sure I want to be that much of a man, tho.
Tire dimensions vary within a given size among different models and mfgs.
Without offset to the outside, 285's rub against the radiius arms.
# of plies goes to ride compliance level.

It depends on the vehicle and use.
I love my XZLs, but in a heavy Classic they melt on the highway. The contact patch is just way too small for something heavy that can move and corner fast.

True, but if you're planning to get MTs anyways, might as well get the beefy ones

Looking at the prices - RN's $379 for an XZL sure beats $330 for a BFG.
But it just makes my eyes water. I remember paying $80 for a 31/10.5R15 BFG A/T.
Tire prices went up just as battery prices.

I dug out my XPCs. They are like 15 years old.

I will get some BFG 7.5x 16 but I will not pay more than $225 shipped. Or I will convert everything to disc hubs and run boosts. But for now I have tires (I did nearly die getting them out haha). And the corner of the other chassis is being held up by my HF jack until someone comes by to give me a hand.
