Anyone installed a Mirror Dashcam in their Defender?

I assume you are younger than I, or more gifted in the vision department, as at my age I need corrective lenses to focus on something that close to me. Give that the portion of the progressive glasses that helps me see at close distances is at the bottom of my glasses, it likely means I'd have to have my headed tilted back like I was examining the headliner to be able to clearly see the 'video' display of the 'mirror', so I suspect that I would need to keep it in mirror mode (man this getting old shit sucks)

On another note, the 12" wide G900 mirror doesn't seem like it would play well with the Sun Visors, comments on your experience?
I have the same problem, Though, unless I’m looking at the time, esp at night/low light, on the screen, my vision is sufficient enough to use the rear view display as rearview mirror.

As for the visor, yes the rearview display is a little on the wide side so you can’t flip down the visor fully up against the windscreen, only vertical. But visor continues to work well enough I haven’t had issues with

Appreciate the perspective. I'm already concerned about the 10" mirror being too big, so if you have a minute to take/post some additional angles/photos of the mirror installed and it's relationship to the visors I wouldn't complain..

The G900 also has the advantage of the 2.5K rear camera instead of the 1080p camera on the smaller G930 mirror..

Hope these help.
1st pic is from the driver position, no zoom. The display is off, so the mirror is reflecting low.

Yup, that looks like a lot of interference. Thanks for taking the time to post the additional photos. I really want the G900's 2.5K Rear camera, but I don't think I'd like the 12" wide mirror..

I almost went with the wolfbox but was lucky enough to happen upon the Akeeyo AKY-NV-X mirror on GoFundMe. What a great investment it was. Front and rear camera, low light visibility and the rear camera has such a wide field of view that I can actually see cars coming at me from both directions when I'm pulling out in reserve from a crowded parking spot. My rear visibility is better than the rest of our cars.

Thanks for sharing this! The Color Night vision is interesting, but the camera is quite large (reminds me of something you'd see in the windshield of a police cruiser), and this isn't integrated as a mirror dashcam. Not clear how it is intended to be used, as it appears to come with a dash mount as well (maybe in front of you for the night vision?).

Its also pretty pricy in comparison to the Wolfbox offerings. Maybe it's worth the extra money, not sure if I can justify it myself. Linking one of the US based reviews, and this guy also has Wolfbox reviews for comparison..

@luckyjoe Another year later, and still no 4K rear Camera. Thought for sure they'd offer it by now. By the time I get myself to pull the trigger, I probably won't be able to get the 10" mirror anymore. Seems like it is only available on the manufacturer's website as a refurbished unit now, but the price is tempting..

Honestly a dashcam (rear inclusive) that isn't 4K is pretty much useless if there is ever an incident. I've had 720p and 1080p ones that only with a LOT of luck and photoshop are you able to garner info like a license plate number. With 4K that chance rises dramatically.

Yes and no. If it is a hit and run incident, I agree, as capturing tag detail of a moving vehicle is very difficult for these cameras. If it is about proving who was at fault (cause people tend to lie to cover their butts), still helpful (or hurtful if it was my fault).

Unfortunately there are VERY FEW rear 4K options, 2.5K seems to be the current 'high resolution' standard for rear cameras. Even the new G900 Pro appears to stick with 2.5K rear, even though they have upgraded the front to a newer, Starvis sensor with a larger area an wider aperture.

Also unfortunate, is that they seem to have left behind the 10" wide versions, guess most people want the 'bigger is better' experience, but I think the 10" wide is still the better option for a Defender, even if the 12" can be made to work. But the 10" G930 is older tech, and only has a 1080p rear camera option, and per Wolfbox tech support, supposedly the hardware in the mirror won't support the higher resolution 2.5K camera.

In the end, I guess any of these option sis better than no option, but I still haven't pulled the trigger on anything..
