I have the same problem, Though, unless I’m looking at the time, esp at night/low light, on the screen, my vision is sufficient enough to use the rear view display as rearview mirror.I assume you are younger than I, or more gifted in the vision department, as at my age I need corrective lenses to focus on something that close to me. Give that the portion of the progressive glasses that helps me see at close distances is at the bottom of my glasses, it likely means I'd have to have my headed tilted back like I was examining the headliner to be able to clearly see the 'video' display of the 'mirror', so I suspect that I would need to keep it in mirror mode (man this getting old shit sucks)
On another note, the 12" wide G900 mirror doesn't seem like it would play well with the Sun Visors, comments on your experience?
As for the visor, yes the rearview display is a little on the wide side so you can’t flip down the visor fully up against the windscreen, only vertical. But visor continues to work well enough I haven’t had issues with
