200tdi Alternator Pulley Nut Size?

A little mysterious to me but my alternator pulley came loose while driving. I did hear the belt squeak slightly on a cold start yesterday morning but other than that no indication of something going wrong until the tach stopped and charge light came on. They both came back to operation briefly (30 seconds) but then stopped again. I honestly assumed I had lost the belt and I was only 1 mile from home so I drove slowly the rest of the way home. Upon popping the hood found the belt to be intact and the pulley sitting on the frame rail. The threads on the alternator shaft seem ok but a little beat up, I assume from the pulley whacking around on there loose.

Good news it I have the pulley, bad news is I don’t have the nut.

This alternator has had a sorted life, it is a Britpart 100amp upgrade which was rebuilt ~2 years ago by a local shop due to intermittent charging issues. It’s been on the truck running otherwise. So not sure what made today the day it decided to fall off.

It look to be an M16x1.5? Does that sound right?
Thanks.

For those on the edge of their seat wanting to know the answer….

16x1.5. Standard rh thread.

And I had to make a little tool to ensure it was tight this time. Not pretty but got the job done.
