It’s finally time to lets this beast go. Purchased pre-owned in March of 2005 from Land Rover of Frederick with 3,300 miles. Currently has 205k miles and climbing.
The car is well maintained mostly by me. Oil changed every 5k miles. At ~100k miles all fluids (diffs, tcase, trans, ps, pb, radiator), spark plugs, thermostat, hoses, etc were replaced. If I were keeping this truck I would do these again.
Front upper/lower control arms and rod ends replaced in July of this year so you should be good for another 75-100k miles.
Know issues
1) Upper tailgate sometimes opens/sometimes not. Not 100% sure but I think the connector to the actuator has a loose connection.
2) PDC (park distance control) is not functioning. Have not investigated.
3) A/C intermittent. Brought it to the dealer and they determined it is a bad compressor.
4) Parking brake grinds when engaged. I think the gear in the actuator needs replacing
Silver/Black, 7 seater, Trailer hitch/wiring, 18” wheels with BFG 285/60/18, cooler cubby box
Interior/exterior shows well for its age. Biggest failing issue is the dash is cracking.
Also included is the Lynx diagnostic software.
Will try and get more pics once I’ve had a chance to clean it up. Located in Northern VA. Feel free to have someone come by and inspect it.
