1981 Tithonus Defender 110. Left hand drive with 77k miles (123,856KM).
2.5NA diesel with LT77 5 speed manual.
Underwent usual Tithonus overhaul in 2008 in the UK.

We just completed some servicing on this truck including oil change, fuel delivery system service, coolant flush, and brake flush.

Clean Arizona title in hand. This truck was first registered in AZ in March 2013.

24V generator included. We removed it when servicing the diesel pump and left it out for weight savings and ease of access to other parts of the engine.

This Defender is in really good shape for a military Tithonus. Only superficial corrosion. No leaks. Drives well now that we serviced the diesel system. There is a hole in the outside of the rear crossmember where it was likely backed into something. Not too difficult of a fix for most Defender types.

Located in Phoenix. I can pick a buyer up from the airport and know you'll make it home safely, albeit, slowly. Can deliver between Phoenix and Salt Lake City for free. Uship.com has really low rates if you want to ship across the country.

$16,000

That is what the AZ title states. I just imported a 1988 civilian 110 and the MVD turned it into a 1984. There are discrepancies with the VIN decoding but there is nothing you can do about it. I have tried. And when they hold the power, you can't argue.

This isn't my first rodeo....

The Defender design's first year was 1984. It was actually called a "110" or "90" until '91, when it became the Defender. There's no way that this truck is a 1981. A 1991 is possible. That's why I asked for the VIN. The VIN decoding is pretty straightforward.

Just trying to help you here. I realize that the State of Arizona may think it's a 1981 but Defender buyers want to know what year it really is, and it's definitely not an '81. :)

And that engine wouldn't be original to that truck either. Even though swaps are legal once here in the US.

Of course I am just a noob though so others can correct me.

What? No, that's a 19J. That's the correct motor for a Tithonus 110.

It's an 11J or a 12J. A 19J has a turbocharger.
This truck I believe is bone stock. 11J 2.5NA motor, LT77 trans and a 1.6 transfer case. It is priced very nicely. I also believe the LHD Tith truck supply has all but dried up.

I saw this truck a couple of weeks ago...not gonna get into the age/vin/what is it debate but it is a clean truck at a good price...just remember you are buying a ex-mod truck

Dave is correct about it not being a 19J engine and Chris is correct that it can't be a 1981. But that's what the AZ title states due to incongruities in US VIN decoding.

I'd hope after 18 yeas, 11 Defenders, 4 LR shops, multiple frame-off restos, and Defenders being my day job, that I would know the rest.

Actually Chris the pre production 110's were about in 1982, and the 110's started full production in 1983. the 90 came along in 1984 as well as the first stretched 110's to 127 also in 1984.

Also The Dunsfold collection has two prototype 110's from 1979!!
