You can buy a Lt230 without the lock and add one. I have seen them for sale just can't remember exactly where. Ashcroft might even sell just the lock.

you can get the tcase from any 1999, 2000 and 2004 Disco II. Those had the CDL.

Yep. Got mine from a 1999. 01s-03s no manual lock, but they can be added.

Technically you can get one from a D1 and even some appropriately equipped RRCs; the linkage aspect may be at issue of course depending on current config. Best to get an LT230Q suffix, which is inherent in the Dii but also resident in most 97 & up D1's.

It's too much work IMO when you can just get a DI tcase... I had a 2003 Disco and looked into doing the mod.

Are you wanting to put this in a defender or D2? You probably don't want to use a D2 case if you need a speedo cable.
