I cut mine out. It is optional on the 110s as I understand it only the SW had it. You will not notice it missing at all! It was out when you drove mine.
Stereo in a tdi powered 110 is over rated :-). Honestly by the time you add a stereo compartment and cup holders at the front you end up pushing the console so far back that you wont have much of an armrest unless you are a tall guy and have the seat way back! I have enough room between the...
It was good talking with you and you certainly have a clean LS swap! I managed to get the cylinder head off my 200tdi last night and dropped at the machine shop this morning. Looks like I may be ok as of now but really liked your setup.
Thanks
Ryan
Rear was converted to stock 110disk setup a few years ago. Hub bearings are not loose. I have verified. Even stationary a double pump pumps it up everytime.
I just did this on my 84 110 with 96 discovery front axle. The new vented calipers have a significantly larger brake pad although as I recall the pistons micd out the same. Braking is dramatically improved to the point I can actually lock all four now and was not able to before. Now if only I...
Unless you live on flat land the 1.2 is a mistake in a 110 with a tdi. The 1.4 is hard enough as it is sometimes. The 255/85 will rob a bit of power but is a good balance on a lightweight 110tdi. You can do a bit of tuning and increase the low boost fueling and that will help make up for the...
Unfortunately there are several seams, my ribbed roof had seams under the ribs at least on the back section. Best thing you can do is pull the headliner out and follow the water trail. I have been slowly working on leaks this year on mine and as of now no water has gotten in with it parked...
The tire will bounce on just the skin when you shut the door and fatigue the skin. I would recomment cutting a plate to sandwich in the door structure to stop that as xplorutah suggested. I did the same on mine.
Boost is directly related to fueling. If you are not making power the turbo cannot build boost. Check to make sure the Boost compenasator is connected and doesnt not have any holes in the tube. It runs from the turbo over to the top of the injection pump and is black. Same tube that is tee'd...
I finally got around to checking this on my FFRR. This breather is located in a different location and is much larger. Does anyone know if it is still an issue on this model?
