I did look into this set up years ago as I have a dicky left leg. But I fitted the over-centre spring peddle as a stop gap. I have found the over-centre peddle was all I needed. I know some on here will disbelive that. Also the red booster not gooda for you lefties.

That green/yellow is household ground wire, where does it connect to in the rats nest of wiring? ah its warm here on Galveston Island nr Texas too.

I would suggest you get a wiring diagram for that truck, Green/yellow where does that go to? the white wire should be a switched power. Scotchblocks need to be removed and wiring correctly.
