That?s awesome! I really want to try some 8.25?s but these I?d want to pick by hand as opppsed to taking the risk of getting something I?d be disappointed with.

I have 8 Michelin XZL 8.25R16 tires from the group buy, brandnew, never mounted. Project sold, so no longer needed. Located in NC, loaded on pallet, prefer to ship via Fastenal or pick-up. Same price, $250/ea OBO.

How tall are 8.25?s? True 34 inches?

I'm very curious as well. I'm running 255/85-16's KM2 and want something a little taller. I have some SSR 35x10.5's but they are look almost 2" taller than the 255's when stood next to them - something in the middle would be perfect.

My 6x6 is also running 255/85-16's KM2s. Unfortunately the XZL's are not nearby, hopefully someone else can chime in with measurements and pictures...

@jymmiejamz would have more mileage than I under his belt.

i only have a few hundred miles on my set and i dont want to compare new XZLs to worn out KM2s but they "seem" better behaved, although definitely noticeably heavier. this is a truck tire, no doubt about it.

they also very much surprised me in winter off road conditions. they slip on ice just like any non-studded tire but aside from that, were very grippy.

Love the look. Anyone know how they perform as a daily compared to a KM2
On my D1 - swapped 265/75R16 KM2s for 7.50-16 XZLs, and it was pure bliss. Quiet and round, unlike ALL KM2s I owned (likely, 10 of them).
One important note: the contact patch of these dinky XZLs is small, so the same type of vehicle dynamics (braking, cornering) produces much higher shear. You may have to revise your driving style to make narrow tires last.
