Attached is a pic of the engine bay of a 300tdi defender 110. Is that the EDC on the top of the pump? Was under the impression that only the disco's were equipped with EDC? Any thoughts?

Trucks not in front of me yet so I can’t confirm it if it has the EDV then it should also have some sort of ecu as well?

started looking at other 110’s for sale and I’m seeing this on other trucks too.. mostly 1995 and 1996 model years.

Will have to see how it runs. I have EDC on a 603a G wagon and it seems fine. German bs British electrics though...so there’s that to factor in.
Would have to swap in another IP or is it removable?

you can just disconnect it and block off the EGR as well . not required to run . in stock form they did have slightly retarded timing but that can be fixed with a 3/8 drillbit and basic hand tools. Also may have a cat depending on where you get it from

Just confirmed with my newly arrived parts manual what was said above. Non EDC IP with TPS as part of EGR system. Definitely plan to remove an block of EGR. Many thanks for the clarity
