Happy Veterans Day to all my brothers and sisters in arms. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Remembering my father who served in the Royal Navy during the second world war. He was a Radar Officer. Probably one of the first who understood that nascent technology. His tours of duty included the Russian Convoys.

Here's to my father-in-law.. an old US Navy Submariner. He's spent his whole life on the sea mostly as a salty lobsterman off Cape Ann here. We still have a German U-boat lookout tower near where his lobsterboat is moored which is pretty cool. Working as his sternman for a few years I recall him joking of having the 'submarine horrors' some nights on occasion. Half joking I'm sure.

Certainly makes me appreciate his service.
