I’m selling a new old stock Elite rear AC kit for the Defender 110. These were made from about 1998-2005 and have been NLA since. This one has never been installed and is complete in-box with instructions and even the little vial of AC oil for the system. This unit was manufactured in December 2000.

This is not the console-mounted system that tales up the cubby space and blows at the passengers knees, this unit mounts above the rear door as shown in the install pic from East Coast Rover. If you have a Td5-style dash, the blower switch will fit in the center binnacle for a clean look and ease of use.

If you have the big brown AC plug under the dash by the fusebox, then this is plug-and-play from a wiring standpoint. Unless you’re skilled with AC systems, I would take it to a professional installer though becuse different AC systems have different styles of hookups at the bulkhead so there might be some hose fabrication work involved.

The system uses a second evaporator in the black box that mounts inside the left rear fender well. The air is ducted up through a special rear window trim piece to the distribution ducts on top. These match the front underdash units and blend perfectly with the interior.

This is not cheap, but I’ve not seen one for sale in almost 15 years. If you’re a hot climate defender driver and you need to keep your dogs cool, this is the piece for you. $4500 or best reasonable offer.

Wow, that didn't last long. Except for the console units, didn't even know there was rear AC for these.
