ST door top oddity?

want to ask if anyone has feedback or experience on the following.
i for some reason have two different diameter door top studs. the driver side has the typical straight stud that the plastic sleeve fits over. the passenger side stud had a thicker diameter stud that the sleeve will not fit over. then if i try to replace the thicker studs with the typical straight stud & then sleeve the reach of the two studs is about 1/32 to long to fit in the holes if the bottom half of the door! find this very odd. i did not try and bend the straight stud then fit it with the sleeve trying to make it work as i felt trying to remove it in the future could be a issue. so i left the thicker studs in with no sleeve and tightened the speed nuts & called it a day.

has anyone seen two different thickness door top studs? i thought just the straight stud was the only one.
any feedback would be nice as I'm just wondering
thx

There were aftermarket studs of stainless steel that did not have sleeves. Also, it could be a stud from a series truck or 83-84 90/110 (for the life of me I can’t remember what those look like).
