shipping - weight of LT230, best method

Can anyone tell me the approximate weight of a LT230?
there is interest in the LT230 (1.4) transfer case that I pulled out for my R2.8 swap - just trying to get a weight for shipping estimation.
Also - if anyone has input on best shipping method / company for the LT230

Fastenal is cheap and easy if you are willing to crate it.

Think you’re looking at 100-110lbs…. If memory serves me correctly. That’s without any hand brake, no oil, no mounts.

You should be able to strap it to a half pallet for Fastenal with two webbing straps -- probably going to be plus / minus a Franklin to ship it.

I have a crate 24x20x15 that my new LT230 came in.
I am guessing that fastenal goes by weight and size?

Years ago I had one arrive in a cardboard box surrounded by spray foam type stuff. They foam was poured into 2 bags, suspending the case in the box.

that works well and there is companies that makes one time use ones for shipping departments. works for aircraft parts.
