Anyone have any seatbox seat mount nut plates? I know they are discontinued/superceded for rivnuts, but hoping to find some before I have make them. TIA.

not show quality but I still like them better than rivnuts and still have a few that are in good shape. I could not sleep at night if i had half rivnuts, and half nut plates. I see YRM has something for the S3, wondering if they are the same size.

at that price though they are made of adamantium.

If you really want them, if you cut and drill I will weld nuts on for you. I am sure I can do an equally bad job as factory …. I am trying to think, but if memory serves me, there are four of eight that can be replaced with just regular nuts and washers as you can just reach in through the battery or storage box.

you can get to them all if you really if you take off the seatbox covers. i dont know how someone could destroy a seatbox like the PO's mechanic did, but they suceeded. ill get some stock and start grinding/drilling. i was just hoping someone had some on an old seatbox or hoarded them some time ago.

Wait until you try to get the screws holding the center console on. Oh wait, you have a tuffy so that may be ok.

Starting with Td5 production, LR used rivnuts. They are a bit larger diametervthan your average m8 rivnut so they have more collapsible material and probably grip better. 5 stars, would do again.

my confidence level is low for structural things, but I guess it's more the seatbelt than the seatbolts keeping you planted. I see they are 2cm long, so ill see what I can come up with.

You could use an M8 lock plate. Pegasus carries them. Use the floating type and hold with a couple of pop rivets. Otherwise use a doubler under the Rivnut.
