Yes, happy to see the Genuine suspension coming off backorder!

Please feel free to email me at [email protected] and I can get you on the list.

We will be releasing much more info once the container of them comes our way. We shot the install video a couple months ago and did some marketing photos, but dont want to release everything until we have an imminent timeline

We have shipped quite a few of these so far, but supply remains difficult. We have updated the design to use a thicker gauge tubing and they've struggled to get it "right". I did just see last week that they are having success now with the thicker wall tubing, but we still have a couple dozen backorders to fulfill before we'll make them available for order again.

Sounds good,
Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing the final result and hopefully getting one

What was the reason for the update to thicker gauge tubing?

Another large restoration shop is still awaiting some answers on the whereabouts of the one we ordered over a year ago...

Where are we at Zack?

I think there's probably only a handful out there with the thicker tubing, manufacturing basically ceased to exist after the switch, we haven't gotten one in a long time.

Couldn't say unfortunately, dont have one here to measure. All I know is that a shop wanted it thicker!

So, this is the picture I have in my mind: a shop owner, whom is probably not an engineer but definitely a blowhard, wanted the original safety devices spec changed…

I was just curious. IIRC the tubing in the NAS cage is 1.75 OD x 0.120 Wall which is a pretty common spec roll cage material and easily workable tubing... so if someone said that you need to go thicker, then they have no idea what they're talking about.

Can we get another shop to say they want it the way it was?

I've long wondered why Safety Devices bothered making the RBL1887SSS slightly different than the NAS cage when they could have made it identical and sold a ton more. My guess is LR NA had some type of embargo on them doing so.
