Part service life information

Has anyone ever seen information on how long classic land rover parts are designed/expected to last? I'm going thru my engine ancillaries and replacing parts proactively for the parts of which I don't know their age. This will allow me to monitor the miles on every powertrain component. But i still am only guessing at what age I should replace them before they fail.

It would be a holy grail to see a service life table by part for OEM and non-OEM. Or at least begin to piece one together with real data of members reporting known age of failures.

I just had a water pump goes tits up on me. it was on the engine and of unknown age when I purchased it, and the pump didn't give much warning. When I removed it, all the impeller blades were broken off. I would love to stay ahead of that.

this type of information would also help to inform the value of Genuine/OE vs aftermarket. My hypothesis is some Genuine/OE parts last around the same as aftermarket (e.g thermostat maybe?) , while other part types have a huge gap in lifespan.
