NAS fuel pump access door

OK, here's a little tech write up.

This applies to a NAS spec 90 or whatever else comes with a teeny little gas tank in the rear.

Problem: No access to the fuel pump; so tank must be dropped to change or access the pump

Solution: Cut a hole and make a door

I used an old Range Rover Classic fuel pump door, I just turned it upside down so it wouldn't protrude. It probably wouldn't be that big a deal because I have that thick rubber mat in the back.

measure 2x, cut 1x

Once you have the hole cut, I used the RRC trap door to mark where the rivnuts needed to go.

Sits pretty flush, and with a rubber mat and a rear seat...nobody knows its under there.

I decided to do this because I've been assembling a whole truck and every single piece was apart to be painted... but you could do this in situ.

Here's how I removed/replace the tub by myself...

How about listing some dimensions of the hole and how far in from rear tub supporting member?

The hole seems to be centered down the longitudinal tub support ?

Wouldn't be too hard adding another body crossmember to maintain the strength of the rear tub.
