ID part Series 1 or 2 Heater Box?

Does anyone know what LR this heater box is for? A friend just sent this to me found in his 30 yr stash and isn’t sure what Rover it’s for. He thinks maybe a Series 1 or 2? Thanks in advance!

Doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen in a series. But it’s very similar to the heaters installed on Austin Healeys in the late 50/60. .
