So I got this kit a while ago https://www.roverparts.com/filters/fuel-filters/8989/ only problem is that now it is time to replace the filter and I can't figure out the part number. No markings on the filter and I called Atlantic British and they don't know. Waiting for them to get back to me, but was wondering if anyone else knows or has replaced the inline filter with something similar. I thought I remembered someone talking about a BMW filter inline like this, but I couldn't find the info on which one in particular.

Comical they don't know the filter that they sell...

looks like a regular ol fuel filter. measure the inlet and outlet, guessing 5/16" or 3/8", any parts store will have something similar.

Ya they had only the kit and not the actual filter number. So not gonna buy a filter kit for 40 on a filter that is probably 15 bucks. Ill pull it and take it in. I didnt know if there was anything volume specific to filters and not just size and shape. But sounds like if it fits it fits.

if the filer is clamp on its made for carb and most EFI systems. some of the filters on more modern systems are made for high pressure

but yea if it s fits, it will work

Guy from Atlantic British called me back and said he knew the part number and it was like 9.95. I already ordered a couple so if those don’t fit I will give AB a yell. So props to them for following up quickly.

Follow up. Guy from AB called and left a message saying he knew the part number but never actually gave the number. I called him back and left a message to call me with the number and that was last Friday. No return call yet. I am not sure I am super happy with AB. Anyways, I got a NAPA Gold 3595 and it looks exactly the same. Thanks, Frobisher. Haven't put it in yet as it is a million degrees outside, but it should fit.

im chasing down a fuel line demon on a 94 that has taken way too long to fix. My local rover hoarder has what i need but in case anyone cares to know, a 5/16 brass compression fitting works great for the stock fuel line. The horrible metric fitting into the filter can be had at Napa or Dorman w/ a 5" x 3/8 pipe on it. so in a pinch you can make a new piece of line with off the shelf parts.
