D2 wheel question

I am not smart about wheels and tires.

I have an 04 D2 with stock 18 inch alloys. The truck spends more time on the road than off, and when it is offroad in AZ, it's not extreme. I need new tires and I'm considering a switch to 16 inch alloys and KO2s. (My 110 has KO2s on wolfs.) My suspension is stock, and the tire size will be 255/65, versus the 255/55s on it now. Obviously I'll gain more sidewall, and probably save a few ounces of weight.

Is there any reason not to change to 16s?

Thanks

Great point, Blue Boy. Those two inches probably won't make a world of difference given how/how much I drive it. And I do like the KO2s that I have on my 110, and they aren't available in the stock 255/65 16 size, while they are in 255/55/18. I think I'll stick with what I have, and if it turns out to be a limiting factor for me one day, I'll make the change then.

Again, much appreciated.

The new KO3 could be worth looking into as well.
